Information We Collect

• Notaries: name, business name, email, phone, commissioning state, commission number/expiration (for verification only), profile details you choose to add (bio, pricing, counties served, languages, specialties).
• Service requesters: name, phone, and optionally email, along with the details of your request (location, service needed, timing, notes) - shared only with the notaries matched to your request.
• Client and notary accounts: the IP address used at registration, used only to detect duplicate or fraudulent accounts (for example, a notary attempting to rate their own listing through a second account); messages you send through the Site to another user; forum posts and connection requests.
• Subscribers: billing status (paid/past due/canceled) and a Square-issued subscription/customer reference for anyone who purchases a Text Ad Add-On, Premium, or Video plan.

How We Use It

To operate the directory (matching requesters with notaries), to verify notary commissions before listing, to process subscription payments (via Square - we do not store card numbers ourselves), to send account-related emails (registration, approval, password resets, billing notices, message notifications), and to detect and prevent duplicate accounts used to manipulate reviews or evade a suspension (see our Terms of Service).

What We Don't Do

We don't sell your information to third parties. We don't share a requester's contact details beyond the notaries matched to that specific request. We don't read private client-notary or notary-notary messages except in response to a report or abuse complaint.

Payment Data

Subscription payments are processed by Square. We never receive or store your card number - only payment status (paid/past due/canceled) and a Square-issued reference ID.
