1. What This Site Is

Notary Solutions USA ("the Site") is a nationwide directory connecting the public with independent, state-commissioned notaries. We verify that a listed notary holds an active commission in their stated state at the time of approval. The Site is a directory service only. Notaries listed on the Site are independent professionals, not employees, agents, contractors, or representatives of Notary Solutions USA. Any notarization or other service performed by a notary found through the Site is provided solely by that notary, in their individual capacity - it is not a service provided by, or performed in conjunction with, Notary Solutions USA. We are not a party to, and are not responsible for, the notarization services performed between a client and a notary found through the Site.

2. Notary Accounts

Notaries must provide accurate commission information, including their commissioning state, for verification. We may reject, suspend, or remove any listing at our discretion, including for expired commissions, inaccurate information, or complaints from clients.

3. Subscription Plans (Text Ad Add-On, Premium, Video)

These plans are optional monthly upgrades to a notary's free profile - the free listing itself never requires payment. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Square and renew automatically until canceled; by subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to the card on file.

Cancellation: Cancel anytime from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period - you keep the plan's features until then, and you will not be charged again after that period ends. Canceling does not end your period early and does not affect your free profile, which continues either way.

Refunds: Charges already processed for the current billing period are non-refundable, including if you cancel partway through that period. We do not prorate or refund unused time. If you believe you were charged in error (for example, a duplicate charge or a charge after you already canceled), contact us at the email below and we'll investigate and correct genuine billing errors.

Failed payments: If a renewal charge fails, your plan is marked past due and you'll be prompted to update your card. We may downgrade your account to the free tier if payment isn't resolved within a reasonable grace period; no partial-month refund applies to the days you had access before the downgrade.

Price changes: We may change subscription pricing for future billing cycles. Any change applies starting with your next renewal after notice, not to a period you've already paid for.

4. Service Requests

Submitting a request through the Site shares your contact information with matched notaries so they can reach out directly. We do not guarantee a notary will respond or that any particular notary is available.

5. Client Accounts and Messaging

Clients may create an account to message notaries directly and rate completed interactions. We do not review private messages between clients and notaries except in response to a report or abuse complaint. Support tickets filed through the Site (by clients, notaries, or the public) are reviewed by our staff.

6. Reviews, Ratings, and Accounts

Client and notary accounts may submit a star rating and written review of a notary listed on the Site. Reviews are held for staff review before they appear publicly and may be rejected or removed at our discretion, including for violating these terms.

Reviews must be honest and reflect the reviewer's own genuine experience or professional assessment. The following are prohibited and will result in removal of the review and suspension or termination of the account(s) involved:

We use account information, including registration details, to detect and investigate suspected duplicate accounts. Maintaining more than one account for the same individual or business, for the purpose of manipulating reviews or otherwise evading these Terms, is grounds for suspending all associated accounts without notice.

7. Notary Community (Forum, Connections, Direct Messages)

Notaries may participate in the community forum, connect with other notaries, and exchange direct messages once connected. Forum posts and profile-visible content are subject to staff moderation and may be edited, hidden, or removed for violating these Terms. Notaries may block another notary or report content or conduct to staff; abuse of the report system (false or bad-faith reports) is itself grounds for account action.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Site is provided "as is." We are not liable for the acts, omissions, fees, or conduct of any notary listed on the Site. Notaries listed on the Site act independently and not on our behalf; nothing on the Site should be understood as Notary Solutions USA offering, guaranteeing, or standing behind any individual notary's work.
